Rex is a lovable pup who has had a rough start to life, but luckily he had several heroes and supporters rooting him on. Rex is always a favorite with dogs and people alike at events. Everybody wants to play with Rex, but being so small there's only so much to go around and everyone must wait their turn. Rex likes people, cats, dogs, toys, and napping on soft fluffy beds.
When we rescued Rex from the shelter the pup needed medical treatment for a skin condition. Now he's healthy and found his forever home!
Rex is all healthy and ready for his furever home!

Foster family talking care of Rex
We rescued Rex from the Indianapolis shelter because the little puppy was sick with Demodectic mange. This non-contagious skin condition is fatal for puppies in a shelter environment because it compromises their immune system and makes it more likely the puppy will get sick.
This is where Casa del Toro steps in. We are fortunate to have a foster home that specializes in helping mange puppies. Here is Rex, who is nearly bald, being protected by his foster family.
Rex is safe now
It was a cold winter here in Indiana so we kept Rex bundled up while his skin healed and his fur grew back.
